Here you can find information on how to delete your Run Catch Repeat account and what happens to your data.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account at any time directly in the Run Catch Repeat app. Simply follow these steps:
- Open the Run Catch Repeat app on your device
- Navigate to the "Settings" section (gear icon in the side menu of the main menu)
- Select the item "Profile"
- Tap on "Delete account"
- Confirm the deletion process with your password and press "Delete"
Note: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Which data will be deleted?
When you delete your account, the following data will be irrevocably deleted:
- Profile data: Your username, email address, and personal profile
- Game statistics: Your individual game achievements, location data, and progress
- Leaderboard entries: Your rankings on all leaderboards
- App settings: Your personal settings within the app
- Notification settings: Your preferences for push notifications
Which data is retained?
The following data will remain even after your account is deleted:
- Game history: Records of games you have participated in will remain as long as at least one other participant still has an active account. Your name will be replaced by "Former Player".
- Public chats: Comments or posts you left in public areas of the app (game groups) will remain, but will be anonymized in the same way.
Retention period: Anonymized game histories are kept for a maximum period of 24 months and are then automatically deleted, unless other participants still have active accounts.
